Who I am

Transfer Answers is run by me, Aidan Arney, under the business name TransferAnswers. You can reach me at aidan@transferanswers.com.

What the service is

One-on-one guidance calls about the California community college to UC transfer process. There are two:

• Intro call: 15 minutes, free.
• Full session: 60 minutes, $100, with a 2-page written report sent within 24 hours of the call.

Calls happen on Google Meet. Parents are welcome on both.

I’m not a licensed counselor

I’m not a licensed counselor, and Transfer Answers is not affiliated with or endorsed by the University of California. I share what I learned making this transfer myself, along with public UC data. Your college counselor signs off on your actual schedule, and you should confirm every course on ASSIST.org before you enroll.

No admission guarantees

I don’t guarantee admission to any campus or major. Admission decisions belong to the University of California alone.

Payment, cancellations, and refunds

Full sessions are paid by card when you book. Cancel 24 or more hours before your session for a full refund. Inside 24 hours, I’ll reschedule you once at no charge within 30 days. Intro calls are always free.

Card payments are processed by Stripe.

Missed sessions

If you can’t make it, let me know before your session: 24 or more hours ahead, we’ll find a new time or I’ll refund you in full; inside 24 hours, I’ll reschedule you once at no charge within 30 days. If you miss your intro call, you’re welcome to rebook anytime. If you miss a paid session without notice (10 minutes after the start time with no message), you can reschedule once at no charge within 30 days. A second missed session is non-refundable.

After your session

Follow-up questions by email are free. Additional calls are not included in the full session.

Essays

On the full session I walk you through my own essays. I don’t write or edit your Personal Insight Questions.

Recording

I record a call only with your permission, and I ask before the call starts.

Your report

The written report is for you and your family.

Students under 18

A student under 18 must have a parent or guardian present on the call.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
